9/13/2023 0 Comments Solasta dlc xboxI'm a bit afraid of what to expect because I don't remember at all what is included in the SRD, and Warlocks are more complex to "fork" because they are by far the most "combine different bricks" kind of characters.īut when you have at least PHB they are very powerful already, and if you can get the newer Patrons / Invocations / spells they have a handful of reliable and repeatable combos that make them among the most efficient casters from level 3 onwards. Still a passable class due to the eldritch blast cantrip Warlocks will be less exciting on console due to no official multiclassing. I'm really curious on what they will have as archetypes in the end. Alas, license cost is a bitch (plus it's still a small dev team anyways). And all the archetypes published since are very interesting. From PHB at least Shadow is much better and Four Elements is very good past level 5. I just regret they could only include Open Hand which is by far the lesser archetype imo both in fluff and mechanics. In fact, I expect people will realize how great they are among martials precisely because Solasta actually implements most of the rules, mechanics and intented balance between exploration, social and combat. If you want a subjective take on the power of the classes, subclasses, feats & spells - I do reddit posts here occasionally + update a free GoogleSlides presentation from time-to-time with updates. If they aren't buffed, it will be a class I recommend avoiding to play on higher difficulties Monks are the weakest 5e class, so we will need to see how TA buffs the base class and/or its other subclass options.Warlocks will be less exciting on console due to no official multiclassing.Bard is an exceptionally good 5e class & Lore Bard will be implemented well in Solasta, so will be worth it enough for me personally to get the DLC.We are still learning more about the new subclasses & implementation of the new classes in the Inner Strength DLC - so can't say for sure until it comes out.Stone Barbarian is one of the better "tank" options, due to using CON for all of its saves. Barbarians are fighters that are more mobile, less armored, & have a one-dimensional playstyle - attack recklessly while raging until everyone is defeated.Circle of the Land: Grassland Druid is the best druid option Druids are the best control class in Solasta, though wizards aren't far behind them.Primal Calling is ok, though probably the least exciting of the 3 DLC's.Balance Druid is a great support/control subclass if you own Primal Calling.Court Mage Wizard is really good, and Commander Fighter gives a solid option to the otherwise lackluster fighter subclass options.Avoid ironman runs & you will likely have fun. A great campaign (though a little buggy at times, due to the extra routes available vs the original campaign). If you only get one DLC, Lost Valley is the one to get.Unlocks Bard, Warlock, & Monk classes + 3 subclasses for each.Unlocks clothing & items specific for those classes.Unlocks Barbarian & Druid classes + 3 subclasses for each.If you have other DLC's that unlock new classes, there you get a new subclass for each of these as well.What is in each generally (there are tidbits beyond what is listed here, but these are the main reasons/points to buy the DLC's besides just supporting TA in their continued development of Solasta): There will be 3 DLC's as of November 14th.
